Há uns tempos recebemos um email do pessoal da Bakfiets que dizia o seguinte:
Dear Bakfiets.nl dealer
Cargo bikes of Bakfiets.nl are very popular. Second hand they are almost impossible to buy or when they are offered, 50% of the sale price is no exception. When a customers walks into your store to buy a second hand cargo bike, this is often because they think a new one is expensive or they simply can’t afford a new one. This means that some customers will look for
alternatives and then often end up at the “Chinese” competitor on the Internet. This may be a missed opportunity. To give you tools to keep these customers we have created the Bertus Cargo bike.
This Cargo bike is produced in the same factory in Hoogeveen as the Bakfiets.nl bikes. However, we have changed a few things to make it more affordable for the customer, so is:
- The frame produced and painted in the Far-East and not in the Netherlands.
- The bike only available in black.
- It provided in Nexus 3 and 7 speed only.
- This makes it possible for Azor to produce these bikes in series and hold them on stock.
- Also, a number of components that are used are just as strong but slightly cheaper, for example: zinc spokes, black handlebars instead of stainless steel, black painted fenders instead of stainless steel, Impac tires instead of Schwalbe tires, battery lighting etc.
- The Bertus is delivered without rear carrier
- Further, the bicycle is delivered with the same material as the standard wooden box of Bakfiets.nl, however it has to be assembled with loose boards and corner pieces.
- This makes that the complete bike including the wooden box can be sent in one big carton. This saves on warehouse and building costs.
The price starting at 1299 euros (NN3), the Bertus Cargobike makes a nice alternative to the used cargo bikes or “Chinese” Internet rival.
Esta semana passou por cá a primeira destas Bertus que vendemos e, como não podia deixar de ser, aproveitámos para lhe tirar o retrato.
